It’s summer and time to get on the water! Oregon whitewater kayaking is legendary – and if you live in Portland, it’s in your backyard! Let Northwest River Guides‘ professional instructors lay the foundation you’ll need to explore this fabulous sport. Take a beginning whitewater river class with us.

We’ll take you to a gentle section of the Clackamas or Sandy river where we’ll show you the basics of river running. With a certified instructor supervising you can practice peel outs, ferries, eddy turns and even your roll in a safe environment.  Get the skills you need through beginner kayak classes in Portland Oregon with Northwest River Guides! You’ll gain confidence and have fun!

Northwest River Guides holds four-hour beginning whitewater river classes weekends all summer. Saturday classes start at 9:00 a.m. and Sunday classes begin at 2:00 p.m.
