Klickitat River

Here are a couple other shots from the raft trip on the Klickitat River.

This is also an ideal river for inflatable kayaking in the Columbia River Gorge.  This class II-III run is ideal in the middle of the summer.  Splashy fun!  There is also a great mountain biking trail on river left- called the Klickitat River Trial.  It is an old train track.  Be weary of the locals out here- it is still a little like the wild west.

It is mostly class II-III but it is always warmer, and sunnier out in the east gorge.

Marmot Dam- Sandy River

As I have continued my research on the Sandy River corridor, and the river documentary that we shot, from McNeil campground through Brightwood, Zig Zag, down through the Marmot dam site, the Sandy Gorge, Revenue Bridge, Dodge Park, Oxbow Park, Dabney Park, Glen Otto, and Lewis and Clark State park has been a really neat project to visually show what the river looks like now.  To find out some more about the dam demolition that I witnessed check out…
